MAY 1 – MAY 25, 2020
Over the last 10 years, the Grace Race has quickly become one of Akron’s most popular and impactful community events. The goal of this event put on by Grace Church, along with the help of friends and businesses in our community, is to raise money and awareness to help feed children around the world through a partner organization called Feed My Starving Children.
This year, the Grace Race will look very different as we are not able to get everyone together all at once. So we decided to do a virtual run that we are calling “Grace Race Anyplace”. So join with us and invite everyone you know to run or walk and help feed children with every step!
3 EASY STEPS TO BE A PART OF GRACE RACE ANYPLACE
STEP 1 – Sign Up & Invite
Sign up for the distance you would like to run, there are five different options to choose from (1 Mile, 2 Mile, 5K, 10K, 10 Miles). We encourage everyone to participate in more than one race, that way we can help feed as many children as possible. If you can only do one race, consider donating as well. Make sure to invite your friends and family to also sign up and participate.
STEP 2 – Run the Grace Race, anyplace!
Find a spot to run between May 1st and May 25th. It can be around your neighborhood, at the park, or on the treadmill in your basement. It can literally be anyplace! Just run or walk the distance you signed up for. After you run, don’t forget to submit your results.
STEP 3 – POST A PICTURE & TAG IT WITH #graceraceanyplace
Go on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter and post a picture. Use the hashtag #graceraceanyplace and mention @gracechurchbath.
Post as much info as you’d like! Here are a few ideas:
- Post a picture after you finished
- Post a video of you during the run (or walk)
- Post a screenshot of the course you chose (many running apps do this for you)
- Post info about your pace, your finish time, distance, calories, etc. (many running apps do this for you)
Remember, use #graceraceanyplace when you post!
